What is the most valuable item in Resident Evil 4? ›

The Salazar Family Crown is the most valuable treasure in the game. Coming in at a whopping 48,000 pesetas, it could almost buy players two Rocket Launchers.

There are 24 bottle caps in all. Each time you enter a new Shooting Range, 6 new bottle caps will become available.

While it's tempting to barter off any rubies and sapphires you find immediately, don't sell gems to the Merchant on their own. They are always best kept for slotting into inlay items because you can get bonus money by making patterns in the jewellery.

Six Bottlecaps can be won from each game type for 24 in total. Completing a game type by getting all six bottlecaps will also give you a certain amount of pesetas. Once you complete the objectives in a game type, talk to the merchant and select "End Game" to receive the extra peseta amount.

Players should definitely sell the LEMI once they find the M1911. The Stronghold in particular is a nightmare waiting to happen for anyone still using the LEMI. To find the M1911, head to the Workshop area of the Village after leaving Castle Dimitrescu and enter this code into the safe in the northwest house: 070408.

It really comes down to personal preference, the Blacktail is a solid all-rounder with good capacity, good damage and fast reload. The Red9 uses more space, has the slowest reload time of any handgun and lowest capacity at 22 rounds fully upgraded.

Attache Case XL

An upgradeable Case that Leon can choose in Resident Evil 4. This is the largest and most expensive case. It can be bought from the Merchant in Chapter 3-3, in Salazar Castle.

The Handcannon is a Magnum with absurd power, and an Exclusive upgrade that gives it infinite ammo, without ever having to reload. That's pretty fearsome, and is exactly why the Handcannon is so sought after.

The most powerful pistol in Resident Evil 4 remake is the Red 9. The exclusive upgrade takes it from a power rating of 2.70 to 4.05, which is more powerful than any of the unupgraded rifles.

The M1911 is a considerably better weapon than the LEMI, lacking only when it comes to Ammo Capacity. The M1911 will be Ethan's main Handgun up to the final area, but make sure the Rate of Fire and Power are kept up to date with upgrades.

These can't actually be used for anything though, and instead must be taken to the Duke. There, if you navigate to the sell menu, you'll notice they're defined as valuable and can be sold for a few thousand Lei a piece. That is their use and should be sold so you can score some of the Duke's various wares.

They're very different Resident Evil 4 weapons for very different purposes and it won't be long before you have the Pesetas to buy both of them, but to start off with, we definitely recommend buying the rifle first, as it's the superior weapon and descriptions of the Bolt Thrower can be a little misleading.

The best single-sale moneymaker that won't lose weapons on a save file is the Elegant Crown with five different gemstones it in. This is the best item for a player to save gemstones for, as an Elegant Crown with five colors will sell for 100000 pesetas.
